How To Make It

To lucid dream is to become aware that you are dreaming. This conscious awareness while in an unconscious state can allow you to control or influence your dreams.

Lucid dreaming can be beneficial to bring clarity, expand creativity, overcome fears and anxiety, improve your quality of sleep, stop nightmares or recurring dreams, aid in problem solving, enhance your motor skills, and expand your awareness.

In a mortar and pestle combine 1-3 tablespoons each of dried mugwort, lavender, catnip, lemon balm, skullcap, and valerian root. Or use your intuition to judge the amounts to use.

In my opinion the three most important herbs in this tea blend are mugwort, lavender and catnip. Mugwort is one of the best herbs to use to lucid dream, especially dreams in which you are flying. Lavender has sedative properties and induces deep REM sleep. Catnip stimulates vivid dreams. The other ingredients are just bonuses to add if you have them as they all aid in dreamwork and encourage lucid dreams.

While grinding the herbs in your mortar and pestle focus on empowering this herbal tea blend. Clear your mind and visualise yourself having a lucid dream. Program this herbal tea blend to assist you in the ability to lucid dream.

Store this tea blend with a clear quartz crystal. The clear quartz will amplify and empower the tea. You may want to cleanse and program the crystal beforehand.

If you like you could charge this herbal tea blend on a selenite charging plate and place it in the light of the full moon.

Drink this herbal tea blend before bed. You may want to try meditating before going to sleep to help relax and clear your mind. Meditate with some crystals that aid in lucid dreaming such as amethyst, labradorite, selenite, celestite, clear quartz, or moonstone.

Try to avoid going on your phone or watching television at least 30 minutes before you go to sleep. Make your sleeping environment peaceful and comfortable. Keep some crystals with properties known to aid in dreamwork close by your bed to trigger lucid dreams.

Set your intention when going to bed. While in bed recite to yourself (either out loud or in your head), “I will lucid dream tonight” or “I will know I am dreaming”.

Try crafting my lucid dreams charm bag. Either place the charm bag under your pillow or hold it in your hand while you sleep, this will act as a trigger in the dream state to bring awareness to the fact you are dreaming.

When you awake, be sure to write down any aspects of your dreams that you remember. This will strengthen your dream recall.

There are many other techniques you can try to train your mind to lucid dream. You could do reality checks throughout the day such as looking at your hands, a clock, or other various objects, often in dreams things can look out of proportion, this would then bring awareness to the fact that you are dreaming. Be aware of common symbols and themes in your dreams.

Sometimes waking up after 4-5 hours of sleep and then waiting 30 minutes before going back to bed can induce lucid dreaming.

Even playing video games have been linked to lucid dreaming.

It takes practice and a bit of patience to be able to lucid dream, so creating a ritual will make this even more possible.

***Don't drink mugwort if you are pregnant or breastfeeding***
