The Magick of Honeysuckle

The sweetly-scented honeysuckle evokes positive energy, harmony and joy.

Flowering around Beltane and the Summer Solstice. Adorn your altar with honeysuckle vines, use the flowers in rituals and celebrations around these Sabbats. Decorate sabbat cakes with honeysuckle flowers.

Honeysuckle strengthens the connection and bond in relationships.

Simple Binding Spell

• Honeysuckle
• Ribbon (choose colour based on intention)
• Paper and pen
• Candle (choose colour based on intention)

Ribbon/Candle Colours:

Red for love or passion

Pink for attraction or friendship

Orange for confidence

Yellow for success

Green for prosperity or money

Blue for healing or well-being

Purple for psychic abilities

Black for witchcraft or spiritual protection

White for devotion or purity

 

Steps:

1. Set your intention, what are you wanting to bind? Write it on a piece of paper, or create a sigil.
2. Take a small bundle of honeysuckle, roll the paper and place it inside the honeysuckle bundle.
3. Wrap it together with the ribbon, focusing on binding your intent. Knot the ribbon 9 times.
4. Light the candle and seal the ribbon around the bundle by carefully dripping candle wax onto it.

 

Tips:

• Keep it on your altar until the binding is no longer needed, untie it and release it with gratitude.
• If the binding is not to be undone you can keep it on your altar for as long as desired then bury it outside.
• If you want, recite your intentions out loud as you cast this spell.
